Valentine’s Day Casual Outfit – Chic and Filtry Dress

Sometimes, a perfect V-day involves good food and quality time with that special person. Marc and I prefer to celebrate our V-day days in advance; Today, we decided to go out for dinner. I was really excited since I love dressing up; any cute pair of over the knee boots and a cute dress is one of my favorite fashion combos this winter season!

I had this idea that I wanted to wear a dress, and regardless of the weather, I would make it work. I recently got this dress from Express, on sale! The original price was $89 and I got it for $30. This is the perfect dress, it’s very forgiving and it looks good on any body type. The fit between the small and the extra small are pretty much the same. However, I decided to with the extra small because the small was a bit too long for me. The best thing about this dress is that it will make you look slim. Even after eating that big serving of sweet potato fries and chocolate cake! Yes I love me some dessert.

Lastly, I complemented my dress with this black faux leather jacket from Nordstrom. I would go up a size since this jacket is pretty tight. (review of this jacket here). I also wore my new favorite pair of high knee boots that I recently got from DSW (click here for inspiration ideas) and of course a cute black bag!

I am not the kind of girl who likes to go out all that much. However, a date night with the hubby, at least once a month, is a must! Dinner with the hubby was super fun and it was great to remember the good old days when I started dating my sweetheart. Spending time with my best friend is what makes every weekend the best!
